Comments
This Farmont 70 was completed in 2003 and launched in 2004. She has two guest cabins for four persons, each with en-suite bathroom, plus one aft crew cabin with two berths and separate bathroom and separate shower. This displacement yacht has her first owner from new and shines with her seaworthiness and the long range of 4000nm thanks to her 20.000 litres fuel tank (range measured running with one engine at a cruising speed of 10 knots approx.) The unique example of the 70 ft-semi-custom series was built of an epoxy-composite that is strong and buckling resistant as steel, but doesn't rust and saves a lot of weight. The owner with 40 years of boating experience was highly involved in planning and construction of the vessel. The special feature of her in-wards rotating props to keep the yacht always in straightforward position, even if only one of the engines is running, is only one of the many improvements. This expedition vessel with huge storage space and a living area of 100 sqm, can be easily driven by two people and is the perfect husband & wife explorer to live aboard and cruise in remote areas. She provides great driving quality and while on anchor at night strong batteries instead of generators provide power for on-board systems (illumination, pumps & fridges). The air conditioning can be run by batteries only while cruising thanks to her huge alternator-power. She is in absolute perfect condition and definitely worth viewing! |
