International Yacht charter

Crewed charter is the preferred method of Yacht Charter and means the yacht comes with a qualified crew. This can be anything from an 11 mtr or 35-foot yacht with a husband-and-wife team serving as captain and chef up-to a 90.9 mtr or300-foot yacht with a crew of 30 or more members including captain, engineers, mates, chef, stewardesses, deckhands, scuba dive masters, and others.

Several factors determine the cost of a charter, including the size of the yacht, its age, its pedigree, the number of crew, and the preferred destination. The worldwide range of charter prices (per person per week) is estimated to from €1000 up to and in excess of €25,000

Charter
Some yachts are used exclusively by their private owners, others are operated all year round as charter businesses for private or corporate use, and a large number are privately owned but available for charter part time. The weekly charter rate of luxury yachts around the world ranges from a high of €661,500.00 (M/Y Annaliesse) to low of €20,000.00. Expenses of approximately 25-30%, such as food, fuel, and berthage are charged as an extra as well as a customary 15-20% crew gratuity for good service.  The luxury yacht charter industry functions effectively because private yacht owners mitigate their running costs with charter income to keep their yachts in pristine condition and their crew in full time employment.
Conversely, private charterers charter yachts (rather than owning them) because it is generally considered to be less expensive, and less hassle, than owning a yacht and it also provides them with extra choice related to type of yacht, location and crew. It is estimated that 35% of the Worlds Superyachts are owned by charter companies
